Meen kuzhambhu

King fish-500gms/Any fish
Garlic-10 pods
Curry leaves-few
Tamarind- Lemon size
Turmeric powder-1/2 tp
Chilli powder-3tp
Salt- As needed
Cilantro/Coriander leaves-1/2 bunch
Oil-3 tp


1.Grind one onion,curry leaves,garlic and coriander leaves.
2.Take a pan add 3 tp of veg oil and add mustard seeds,chopped onion,tomato and grounded paste.
3.Now add tamarind water,turmeric powder,chilli powder,salt and allow it to boil for 1/2 hour until you get little bit thick consistant.
4.Now add jeera and pepper powder(fry dry and grind)
5.At last add cleaned fish and let it cook for 5-7 min. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Note: 1.Prepare this meen kozhambu before day night and have this on the next day. It gives you additional taste of your dish.
         2.Add more water for boiling and allow it to come half level of thick consistant.
         3.It goes well with prawn Iguru.(Which i will update later)
